On my bucket list, I always had a dream of visiting the area of Salt Lake City Utah, as I grew up with so many friends that were of the Mormon faith, and was intrigued by their background and heritage. A couple of years ago, I had the good fortune of taking an amazing trip through the western states, which included a visit to Salt Lake City. We spent an entire day on the campus of Brigham Young University, which is a Mormon-based college, as well as touring the beautiful and historical institutions that are the headquarters and so important to the Mormon religion.
This picture is of The Salt Lake Temple. The Salt Lake Temple is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) located on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah. At 253,015 square feet, it is the largest LDS temple by floor area. Dedicated in 1893, it is the sixth temple completed by the church and required 40 years to complete. This was one of the most impressionable sites I’ve seen as I travel through the country, and I was impressed by the beautiful landscaping throughout the city of Salt Lake City. I look forward to traveling back to the area in the future.
